Medium Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT) is a medical treatment which involves breathing +/- 95% oxygen in a pressurized environment.
Under this pressurised environment your lungs can carry much more oxygen than would be possible breathing oxygen at normal air pressure
Oxygen is normally transported by red blood cells. By increasing the atmospheric pressure, the oxygen now also diffuses into the blood plasma. This enables the oxygen to reach areas within the body where circulation is blocked or diminished as a result of injury or disease.
When your blood carries this extra oxygen through the body, it fights infection and stimulates the release of stem cells and growth factors which promote healing.
